Romeo, Lord Montague's son, is currently in a depressed state of mind. This is all because he was in love with Rosaline, Lord Capulet's niece, and their relationship was more like in one direction as it was only Romeo who gave love. Due to this unrequited infatuation, Romeo sunk into a state of depression. After being persuaded by Benvolio, Romeo's cousin, and by Mercutio, his friend, Romeo attended the Capulet's masked ball. What a stalker, he attended it just for a chance to meet the girl that didn't like him. ROFL
Rumour: Theorists say that the depression was caused by Romeo smoking on drugs. Yet to be proven.
